We transformed an ordinary Toyota family van into an SUV (SURVEILLANCE UTILITY VEHICLE) in order to conduct observation missions from parked locations at night. The primary feature of the SUV is the CCTV monitor system on the exterior of the vehicle, embedded in the side view mirrors. These monitors transmit through live-feed, the surveillance operations occurring in the interior of the vehicle. The viewer, propelled by his/her own desire to look, is present both as a target and a participant, an innocent victim and a willing accomplice.
